Board Meetings
The Guild Board meets weekly to take care of day-to-day business. The standard meeting times of the Board are announced on the Telegram Information channel. Board meetings deal with current issues concerning the Guild, such as the approval of invoices and membership applications. All members of the Guild have the right to be present at Board meetings.
The minutes from the board are written in Finnish. They can be found on the following page:

Guild's official Meetings
At least two Guild meetings are held each year: the statutory annual meeting and the election meeting. The annual meeting is held at the beginning of the spring and includes a presentation of the Guild's annual report for the previous year, an action plan for the current year and a decision on the Guild's budget. The election meeting is held in late autumn and elects the board and officers for the following year.
In addition to the statutory meetings, additional guild meetings may be held during the year. They can be held if, for example, the budget needs to be reviewed or a major decision needs to be made that the Guild Board does not have the authority to make. Additional meetings are held on average once a year.
The notice of the meeting will indicate the subject of the meeting. In addition to the actual topics, there are often "extra" items that come up at the meetings. Guild members can, for example, table a petition to oblige the Board to look into the possibility of doing something about an issue they feel is important.
Notices of meetings are posted on the guild's official bulletin board (in the hallway between the guild room and the T7 and T8 classroom) at least one week before the meeting. In addition, they are sent to the membership by e-mail.
