The guild works actively with study matters and is often in contact with the university's Computer Science Department. Essential parts of influencing study matters are acting as a student representative in various university meetings as a halloped as well as conducting study surveys.

Bachelor's degree in computer science
As a computer science student, you will study in an environment that combines necessary theory with practical internship projects. You will develop skills in programming and problem solving as well as teamwork and project work. You will also gain the skills to become an expert in your chosen field of computer science. Once you've mastered the basics, you can start to build your own degree, for example by focusing on a more engineering or humanistic approach.
Contents of the Bachelor's programme:
- Basic studies (65 credits: mathematics, physics, basic programming, production economics, language studies)
- Major (75 credits: core content in the field, project courses, bachelor thesis)
- Minor (20-25 credits: many options, including, for example, exchange studies)
- Optional studies (15-20 credits: practically anything)
These courses are in line with the international Computer Science undergraduate degree and will introduce you to new developments in the field, which will be needed in the future.
Aalto University also operates in an international environment, so there are many options for internationalisation, such as going on an exchange or doing an internship abroad.
