AthleTiKs Discgolf Tournament is here again!

Bring a friend and come try it out and enjoy some relaxed throwing. Not only can you come just to get familiar with and try out the sport, but the best players will also be rewarded with awesome Discmania products! After the round, we'll play mini-games where everyone also has a chance to win Discmania prizes.

Don't have any discs? Don't worry, we are able to lend few discs for every participant. In addition, this year women also have the opportunity to play in their own division and compete against each other!

The tournament will be held at the 20-hole Puolarmaari discgolf course on Thursday, May 15th starting at 6 PM. The course is beginner-friendly and perfect for a laid-back evening and some light throwing.

Is your head still buzzing from the wappu season? Do you want to make sure your last bender is immortalized for generations and generations to sing about? Well, we have quite an opportunity for you - come to the songwriting hackathon to unleash your inner songwriter and put your words into the mouths of future sitsi-enjoyers! Whether you are an esteemed songwriter, or holding the pen for the first time ever, we would be glad to welcome you to create your own masterpiece or collaborate with other people. We will offer some help and guidance with songwriting, as well as snacks to motivate you. The best songs in each category would receive small prizes! :D

Is your thirst for knowledge something only quality journalism can quench? Still looking for something to do at the end of May? Luckily, journalism doesn’t sleep in May either, as Rytmiryhmä once again hosts the legendary Alkorytmi Sitsis!

You won’t run out of things to do at this sitsis, since the second issue of Alkorytmi of the year will be released there. You’ll be among the first to enjoy the hot-off-the-press student magazine!

So put on your teekkari cap and get yourself to the upstairs of OK20 on Friday, May 30th, to celebrate journalism! The cocktail party starts at 18:00, and the sitsit begin at 18:30 with the sound of the gong.

NOTE: The event is mostly in finnish!

Aalto University will transition to digital degree certificates this autumn, after which the official certificate will only be issued in electronic form. This shift also gives the university an opportunity to renew its graduation celebrations.

As the transition is still ahead, there is still a chance to influence the practices of the graduation ceremony and the items distributed during the event. At the moment, no decision has been made on what will be handed out to graduates at the ceremony. AYY, together with the guilds and student associations, has previously published a joint statement in support of keeping the physical certificate folder. Now you also have the opportunity to share your opinion by answering this survey!

The survey results will be sent to the Dean, Vice Dean, and Head of Academic Affairs of the School of Science. Please respond by Monday 19.5.
