Next week, the guild will celebrate its semi-annual ball, Välimuistinnollaus! There are still a few tickets left for both the main party and the sillis. In a week, it will also be time to lower our caps, but before that we still have the Otatarha Grand Prix and Lakinlaskijaiset.

College night is here again!
The orientation week is over and the studies have started, so come recover from your first weeks of studies. At Rantsu on Monday 22.9. starting at 6pm.
You'll get to know American college culture thoroughly. There is food, refreshments and Beer Pong in true Yankee style. The event also has a sauna and a hot tub, which entertain the participants throughout the evening. So bring your sauna gear too! The event is free of charge.
Welcome on Tuesday 23.9.2025 at 13-14 to the guild room to enjoy good coffee and pleasant company. Also joining us will be Noora Suominen de Rios, the building manager of the CS-building! This is an excellent opportunity to discuss the efficient space solutions and the curious ventilation of the CS building, as well as to bring forward the guild members’ broad development ideas. Come share your thoughts and enjoy coffee with Noora!

Välimuistinnollaus (lit. cache reset) is a fine dinner party with a more relaxed twist. Like a full annual ball, the evening includes a cocktail party, dinner with stunning performances, an afterparty with the most wonderful atmosphere at Saha, and for the most eager, a relaxing herring breakfast (sillis) the next day at Rantasauna.

In recent years, loneliness among young adults has been on the rise, making it increasingly important to explore and consider new kinds of solutions. The aim of this study is to hear the perspectives of young adults who have experienced loneliness on how technology could help alleviate it. This research (and this survey as part of it) is conducted by a research team from Tampere University, and it is part of a doctoral research project funded by the Jane and Aatos Erkko Foundation.
We are looking for responses from 18–29 year olds who have experienced some kind of loneliness in their lives – whether it has been temporal and occasional or more long-term and fundamental. This survey focuses on the potential of mobile technologies and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. The survey works best when filled out on a computer screen or other large display, but you can of course complete it on your phone as well. Participation is voluntary and anonymous, and individual respondents cannot be identified from the research data. For more information about the study, you can contact: lotta.ylinen@tuni.fi.
