In the coming weeks, a lot will be happening, from summer job applications to gaming events. On Wednesday, registration opens for the year’s first sitsis, the Valentine’s Day sitsis! Next Monday, there will be a recruitment lecture for those interested in being a tutor (ISO). Also, check out the summer job opportunities at the Department of Computer Science and the job interview workshop organized by the Career Design Lab!

Has the end of christmas time and the beginning of another school year left you wishing for more fun activities Then the gaming committee has a solution for you, since we are hosting another game night at village living room on 28.1.

On top of classic board, card and switch games, the fastest participants get to try a new form of roleplaying through an official cyber punk spinoff created by Mörk Borg called CY_BORG. CY_BORG is an ORS ( old school roleplaying) system that is easy to learn and understand and tries to emulate the vibes of early DnD editions. The game will give you thrilling moments where catastrophies are only a few mistakes away.

ISO Recruitment lecture

ISO Recruitment lecture at undergraduate center U4-hall on Feb 3rd at 6 PM

Hey you, who’s interested in becoming an ISO or has been one before! If the guild’s best role (being an ISO) interests you, join us on Feb 3rd at 6 PM in U4-Hall. During the event, you’ll hear all about how the ISO recruitment process works this year and the different ISO roles available in the guild.

Tietokilta needs especially international tutors, since we have more international and masters fuksis than bachelors fuksis!

After the official part, there will be sauna and hanging out at gorsu

Valentine’s Day Sitsis

Welcome to the most romantic and movie-filled dinner party of the year! At this event, we’ll dive into the sparkle of classic love stories and the sweetness of Valentine’s Day – blending hearts, popcorn, and maybe even a few tears.

The theme is romantic movies + Valentine’s Day. Are you Titanic’s Rose in search of your Jack, Mr. Darcy in the rain, or perhaps a heartbreaker turning Bridget Jones’ life upside down? Maybe you’ll transform into Notting Hill’s gardener, Cinderella’s prince, or the funniest wingman in your friend group! What matters most is that you bring the drama or charm – just like in the movies.

The evening's menu includes:
· Heart-shaped joy
· Friendship with all the trimmings
· Plot twists that only a dinner party can deliver

Summer Job Day 2025

Summer Job Day recruitment fair will be organised on Thursday, January 30th on the first and second floor lobbies of the Undergraduate Center. The event takes place from 11 AM to 5 PM. We welcome all Aalto University students to join the fair!

At the fair, you’ll have the chance to meet 39 employers from different fields, offering summer jobs, thesis positions and other student jobs.

Thrive in a job interview! -workshop

Join Aalto Career Design Lab´s Thrive in a job interview training to learn to present your best self at a job interview. This training consists of two parts: We start with introduction talk on how to give your best at a job interview. After the lecture you have a possibility for a mock interview and interview coaching with recruiting professionals from aTalent, Destia, Sitowise, City of Vantaa or with Aalto career coaches. You can participate only the lecture part if you wish. Groups can use Finnish or English depending on participants´ wishes. Register in JobTeaser!
