Cultural movie night
Unfortunately all of the movies are in Finnish, and they don't have dubs or subtitles in English.
On Tuesday of the annual ball week, we’re hosting a movie night that offers a unique opportunity to dive into the intriguing past of teekkari culture and our guild, as well as reflect on where we stand today. The evening promises a wealth of familiar, beloved, and even mythical video clips, each revealing new stories from Otaniemi and the world of teekkari life.
The program includes, among other things, the enchanting performances from fuksispeksi, where first-year students have dazzled audiences with timely acts. Over the years, various hallitusvideot (student board videos) have also been produced, and they’re now taking center stage. These videos can reveal surprising sides of guild activities. And of course, we can’t forget the legendary Raimo Illaskivi, whose cult-status films have long captivated eager fans.
If you have an unforgettable video or other gem you’d like to see on the big screen, don’t hesitate to let us know—we’re more than happy to accept new ideas! The event will take place at Pelimanni, starting at 5:00 pm, and will offer a laid-back atmosphere, some light snacks, and mind-blowing movies.
Pelimanni has around 20 seats, so we recommend signing up in advance to secure your own comfortable spot. However, signing up is not mandatory, and more seats can surely be arranged through creative solutions if the situation calls for it.
The sign-up is open here!
